Service

SEO for garages, run like a workshop: in order, on a schedule, measured

A garage's Google presence has three moving parts: the profile that decides the map, the pages that decide the expensive jobs, and the reviews that decide who gets the call once both are working. This service does all three every month, in a fixed order, with the numbers in front of you. It starts at £399 a month and it is the same price for every garage.

The first year

What happens, month by month

The order matters more than the effort. Profile first because it moves fastest, pages second because they take a season, reviews throughout because they decide the map once you are in it.

  1. Month 1

    Profile and foundations

Profile rebuilt: categories, services with prices, hours, photos, service area. Review routine set up at the desk. Site indexed, titles fixed, speed fixed. Search Console shared with you.

  2. Month 2

    The first job pages

MOT and servicing pages live if they were missing; diagnostics next. Reviews replied to. First mentions placed: DVSA listing checked, two real directories, one supplier garage finder.

  3. Month 3

    Read the first real data

Four weeks of Search Console on the new pages. Titles adjusted where pages are shown and not clicked. One new page for the job the data says drivers search most. Report says plainly whether it is on track.

  4. Months 4 to 6

    Compound

A page or guide a month, mentions monthly, reviews steady. Map pack movement in most towns. First bookings you can trace. The month-six conversation: keep going, change tier, or stop.

  5. Months 7 to 12

    The competitive searches

MOT and servicing in a crowded town move in this window. Guides start earning citations in AI answers. The report tracks bookings against cost.

Seasons

Garage searches have a calendar, and the pages have to be ready before it

Drivers search for air-con in the first hot week and winter tyres in the first cold one. A page published the week the searches start is a month too late, because Google takes weeks to trust it. We plan the content a season ahead.

March and September
New registration plates mean the busiest MOT months three years later, and a spike in servicing enquiries now. Pages and profile must be right before, not during.
October to December
Winter checks, batteries, tyres, heaters. The searches change; the pages should already exist.
May and June
Air-con regas searches peak in the first hot week. A page that went live in April catches it; one written in June misses it.
January
The quiet month, and the best month to fix the site, because nobody notices the disruption.

Fit

Garages this is built for

  • The independent with a full test lane and empty ramps. MOTs come in; the clutches and gearboxes go to someone with a page about them. Pages fix that.
  • The specialist with customers who travel. Remapping, diagnostics, EV, performance. The map matters less, the pages and the mentions matter more, and the towns are scoped one by one.
  • The garage in a town with a Halfords on page one. A longer road, and one we describe as such in the audit. The independents that win it do so on reviews and specificity, not budget.
  • Two sites, or a bodyshop next door. Each address is its own profile and its own pages, because Google treats them as separate businesses.

Lines we do not cross

Because they cost garages the map

  • “Smith's Garage MOT Servicing Tyres” as the profile name. Suspension, then weeks of reinstatement.
  • A page per town on a template. Google's scaled-content policy filters them and they drag the real pages down.
  • Bought reviews, staff reviews, review gating. Policy breaches and, for incentivised reviews, an offence under UK consumer law.
  • Rewriting a page that has clicks. Not without evidence a change will help. Protecting what works is part of the job.

Questions garage owners ask us

Will you also work for the garage down the road?

No. One garage per town, or one per specialism where two do not compete, on the Local and Growth tiers. We confirm your town is free when we reply to the quote form; if it is taken we tell you and suggest someone else.

What is in the monthly work?

Profile upkeep and review replies every week; a new job page or guide most months; mentions on real directories and garage finders; a technical check for speed and indexing; and a two-page report from Search Console written by the person who did the work.

Which jobs get their own page?

The ones you want more of and can prove you do well: MOT, servicing, diagnostics, clutch and gearbox, brakes, tyres, air-con, timing belts; remapping, DPF and EV for specialists. Each is written after a short conversation with you and reads like your garage.

Can you guarantee page one?

No, and nobody can honestly. We guarantee the work, show you every number in Search Console, and tell you by month six whether it is working.

We are a specialist drawing from a wide area. Does local SEO still apply?

Yes, differently. The map pack still matters for people nearby; the pages matter more because your customers travel. We scope the towns separately: which have real searches for what you do, and which are winnable.

What if we stop?

You keep everything: profile, pages, reviews. Nothing is held hostage. The monthly work stops, growth slows, and garages that keep going eventually catch up.
