SEO for car detailing and valeting
Detailing and valeting SEO: the treatment, the photograph and the price, on a page Google can find
Detailing is bought on photographs and valeting is bought on price and convenience, and both are searched with the treatment first: ceramic coating, PPF, paint correction, mobile valet, full valet. SEO for a detailer or valeter is a page per treatment carrying your own before-and-after shots and a from-price, a Google profile set up for a unit or for a van, reviews that name the treatment, and the guides buyers read before they choose. From £399 a month, 3-month minimum, one detailer per town.
Sound familiar?
The detailer with the best work in town and no way for a stranger to find it
Your Instagram has three years of coatings under a lamp and the website has a logo, a phone number and a paragraph that says you take pride in your work. The person who searched “ceramic coating” and your town never saw the Instagram, because Google does not show it to strangers, and the website gave them nothing to compare.
Your van covers four towns and the Google profile shows the house you work from, or nothing at all, so the map shows the hand car wash on the retail park instead of you. The enquiries you do get are for a mini valet at a price you would rather not do, because the site has no price list and the buyer guessed low.
A national coating brand's installer finder outranks you for your own town, on a page that lists you as one of six, next to the competitor you least want to be beside. And the buyer who just collected a new car and searched what “dealer paint protection” actually is found a forum thread, not your explanation and your booking link.
The searches
What people type when they want their car detailed or valeted
ceramic coating [town]
The highest-value search in the trade. The buyer has a new or newly bought car, a budget in the hundreds, and wants to see your work on a car like theirs.
paint protection film / PPF [town]
Fewer searches, bigger tickets. Buyers compare installers across a region and want to see edges, wrapped bumpers and the film brand named.
paint correction / machine polish [town]
The enthusiast with swirl marks and a used car they love. Before-and-after under a light is the whole sale.
mobile valeting near me / mobile car valet [town]
Convenience buyers and regulars. Won by the profile with the service area set, the price list and a booking route that works on a phone.
full valet / mini valet / interior detail [town]
Price-led searches with a lot of volume. A page per package with the price on it filters the tyre-kickers and keeps the bookings.
new car protection detail
Buyers who have just collected from a dealer and are searching what the dealer's 'paint protection' actually was. A guide that explains it wins the coating job.
motorhome / caravan valeting [region]
A separate customer, a separate season, a separate page. Underserved in most regions.
How we help
Six things we do for a detailer that a garage plan would miss
The method is the same one we use across the motor trade: profile, pages, reviews, mentions, measured monthly. What changes for a detailer is that the photographs are the product, the price is the filter, and the profile has to match how you actually work.
- A page per treatment, priced
- Ceramic coating, PPF, paint correction, enhancement detail, maintenance wash, interior detail, the valet packages. Each with your own photographs, what is included, how long the car is with you and a from-price, because a page without a price sends the buyer to the one with it.
- Your photographs, arranged for search
- You already have the before-and-after shots. We put them on the page for the treatment they show, sized so the page still loads in a second on a phone, captioned with the car and the town, which is what the image search reads.
- The profile drawn for how you work
- A detailer with a unit gets a storefront profile with the unit in the photos. A mobile valeter gets a service-area profile with the address hidden and the towns set. Getting this wrong is the commonest reason a valeter is invisible on the map.
- The coating and film brands, named
- Buyers search the brand they read about. Naming what you use and what warranty it carries, on the page, is a ranking signal and a trust signal at once, and it is true.
- Reviews that mention the treatment
- A review saying 'ceramic coating on a black Audi, still beading six months on' is the review that sells the next coating. The handover routine asks for it in those terms.
- The guide that Instagram cannot write
- Coating or wax, PPF or coating, what dealer paint protection is, how to wash a coated car. Buyers search these before they search you, and a detailer who answers them owns the town.
What is different from a general garage
A valeter who drives to you and a detailer with a unit are two different businesses on Google
A garage has an address drivers visit, a category Google understands and searches that are mostly about the town. Detailing splits in two, and the split decides everything about the profile and the pages.
- The mobile valeter is a service-area business: address hidden, towns listed, the van in the photos, price-led searches, the map pack for “near me” across several towns.
- The detailer with a unit is a storefront: the unit in the photos, coating and film searches that buyers travel for, a page per treatment that has to win a region.
- Neither is bought on trust in the way a clutch job is. Both are bought on the photograph of a car like the buyer's, which is why the pages are built around your images rather than around a list of services.
- The competitor is not the garage down the road. It is Instagram, the coating brand's installer finder, and the hand car wash on the map. The plan is written against those.
The price
Detailers and valeters pay the same three tiers as every other specialism, from £399 a month with a 3-month minimum. A unit serving one town is usually Local; a van across several towns, or a coating specialist drawing from a region, is Growth. What each includes, the one-off profile build and what no tier contains are on the pricing page.
We have not yet published a detailing result, and we will not borrow one. When the first detailer's numbers exist they go on the results page with the same caveats as the tuner's.

Other specialisms we work with
Questions detailers ask us
Instagram already brings us work. Why a website?
Because Instagram shows your work to people who already follow you, and Google shows it to a stranger with a new car and a budget who has never heard of you. The two do different jobs. The website is where the stranger lands, checks the price, sees the car like theirs and books. We will not touch your Instagram; we make the site do the part it cannot.
Should we publish prices for detailing?
Yes, as from-prices per treatment with what moves them. A ceramic coating page without a figure loses the buyer to the one with a figure, and the price-checkers you filter out were never going to book. Where a job genuinely needs a quote, say what decides it.
We are mobile. Does the map pack still show us?
Yes, if the profile is set up as a service-area business with the address hidden and the towns listed, and the pages name those towns. A mobile valeter with the home address showing, or with no service area set, is the most common broken profile we see in the trade.
Is there enough search for PPF outside the big cities?
Less than for coating, and the buyers travel further for it, so the page targets the region rather than the town and the profile's service area matches. It is a page that wins a small number of large jobs, which is a different bet from the valet packages, and the audit says whether it is worth it where you are.
What does it cost a detailer?
The same tiers as every specialism: from £399 a month, three months minimum, then monthly. Most detailers sit on Local if the unit serves one town and Growth if they draw from a region or run a van across several. The figures are on the pricing page.
See what a stranger finds when they search your treatment and your town
Send your website and your Instagram, and the towns the van covers or where the unit is. You get an audit written for a detailer, the three businesses above you, and a written answer on your town.
